Donations and Support
While United Way contributions make up a portion of
our budget, The Literacy Council relies on corporate and individual
contributions to make training and materials available to meet the
challenge of illiteracy in the five-county area.
Your gift to The Literacy Council will provide the following critical needs:

Books for 1,000+ children |
| $1,000 - $2,499 | Television commercials to reach those who cannot read and to recruit volunteers |
| $500 - $999 | Provides newspaper and magazine ads to recruit volunteer tutors |
| $250 - $499 | Provides radio commercials to reach those who cannot read and to recruit volunteers |
| $100 - $249 | Provides a set of basic literacy or English literacy training materials for 1-2 students |
| Up to $99 | Provides basic literacy or English literacy books for a student |
